Questions people ask

Is this diagnostic the same length as the USMLE Step 3 exam?

No. The real exam runs over two days, with 412 questions in 21 blocks of 30 minutes plus 13 to 14 case simulations. This set has 30 questions in 45 minutes, which works out to about 2 minutes per question, the same pace as a real block.

How are the 30 questions chosen?

They come from the free sample of the PassExams USMLE Step 3 bank and follow the USMLE weights for each system. Areas that carry more questions on the real exam get more questions here.

Does a score here predict whether I will pass?

No single set of 30 questions can. Use it to find the areas that need work, then take it again after a few weeks of practice and compare the two reports.

Do I need an account?

No. Your answers stay in this browser and nothing is uploaded. You can save the report as an image when you finish.
